Job Title: Sr. Supplier Quality Engineer

Location: Caesarea, Israel

Department: R&D – Robotics Dep.

Reports to: Robotics Dep. Manager

Job Description:  The goal of this position is to take part in the development medical robotic systems for the spine surgery industry from concept to implementation.

Note: The following are meant to be representative but not necessarily all inclusive of the duties and responsibilities for this position title.

Key Responsibilities & Authorities:

  • Printed circuit board design
  • Wiring design
  • EM and electric safety compliance for common medical-electrical standards
  • All hardware electrical related issues – engineering changes, malfunction debugging, component reliability, etc.

 

Education:

BCs in Electronics Engineering

 

Experience Requirements:

  • PCB design – 2+ years experience
  • OrCAD Capture or equivalent schematic SW – 2+ years experience
  • PCB Layout with sub-contractors.
  • Knowledge of PCB manufacturing and assembly line requirements.
  • Experience with off the shelf components such as: motors, optic sensors, LEDs
  • Understanding the different stages of the product development process.
  • Experience with medical-electrical standards IEC60601-1 & IEC60601-1-2.
  • Experience with CAN (controller area network) communication – Advantage.
  • Multidisciplinary medical systems design – Advantage.

 

Job Specific Skills (Languages, SW, systems, etc.'):

  • Team player.
  • Systematic approach to problem solving and issue resolution combined with good understanding of the relevant technologies and their practical applications.
  • Self-starter and capable of working with minimal supervision. Ability to multi-task and provide expertise and leadership across multiple projects.
  • Hands On Skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills

 

Other Requirements for the role (% of travel, etc.):

Domestic and International Travel is required

 

Working Relationships:

Internal: Work closely with system engineering, mechanical engineering, RA\QA, procurement, NPI Engineers.

External: Sub-contractors, outsourcing, testing laboratories, consultants, manufacturers and suppliers
