Mazor Robotics’ Renaissance System installed at Georgia ASC

Athens, GA– June 13, 2018 – GNS Surgery Center, an affiliate of United Surgical Partners International, announced that it has completed their first procedure with the Mazor Robotics Renaissance system. GNS is the first Ambulatory Surgical Center in Georgia to offer it’s patients spine surgery using this exciting technology.

“The clinical value proposition of Mazors’ robotic guidance systems gave us the confidence to make the jump and adopt this exciting technology for our patients” says Bryan Barnes, M.D., “And we are very pleased with the clinical results and the integration of Renaissance into our spine program.”

“We commend GNS on becoming one of the first ASCs in the nation to offer the benefits and capabilities of the Renaissance.  Mazor believes a substantial portion of the thousands of ASCs in the United States would benefit from Renaissance technology and we are working to develop this segment of the market,” noted Christopher Prentice, Chief Commercial Officer of Mazor Robotics.  “With the Mazor Core technologies and our demonstrated clinical value and predictability, we are  converting complex and variable procedures to simple, minimally invasive, routine procedures. This is a new era of spine surgery.“
